Born in 1951 American writer and researcher Maureen Temple Richmond is a scholar and enthusiast of the Western Esoteric and Initiatory Tradition.
She is the author of a detailed scholarly study of the role played by the star Sirius in the Western Initiatory Tradition and for seven years managed the School of Esoteric Astrology.
Richmond holds an M.A. in English and Creative Writing and a B.A. in English and Professional Writing from the University of Arkansas. She is an active member in the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis, Mensa (the international high-IQ society), Phi Kappa Phi (an international academic honor society), and Sigma Tau Delta (an international academic honor society for the field of English literature and composition).
