Book of the Month
Out of Your Mind is out there as one of the great works on spiritual philosophy of this or any age. Alan Watts might be around to appreciate the fact but this a book the world has been long since been waiting for and its time is now.
Our Rating: 5 Stars
'To anyone who interested in the process of unfolding their consciousness and confronting their demons this is a work that offers much. The author walks into dangerous ground by tackling social taboos and as a result comes up with some equally socially challenging ideas. Whether anyone else's experiences with magic mushrooms is the same as the authors or not is not really that important. What is more important is that this book opens up an important debate — one that largely challenges the immature consensus reality of civilisation...and to that end the author does a very impressive job.'
'Enlighten My Senses is a story about the journey that one woman took to open her heart and her life. It walks you, the reader, down a path that shows how your history, heritage and emotions affect your well-being. It guides you to look inside and outside step-by-step to help and support yourself in bringing light to areas that you may not have been aware of. Get ready for a whole new way to look at and improve your world!'
'However, as Jesso demonstrates so clearly in three simple accounts, for those who are already acclimatised to such a deep state of consciousness either through emotional disfunction, anxiety, depression etc., or who are able to traverse the inner levels of their own psyche without any sense of fear and trepidation then this drug can be of tremendous benefit. In this regard the title of Jesso"s book accurately summarises a psychedelic process that, when properly initiated, can make the journey both spiritually and psychologically worthwhile....and they don't tell you that at school! Highly recommended for those who enjoy a balanced debate.
'Subtlety has to be the key feature to close energy work for this is a world that fools can stumble around in and cause havoc through their ignorance and stupidity. In Subtle Energy Techniques Cyndi Dale offers timeless help, advice and guidance in the most delicate, safe and non-challenging way. For this reason it is a particularly fascinating publication and one that we enthusiastically recommend to anyone who is interested in understanding the true nature of the fabric of life that makes up our delicate reality.'
'Enlighten My Senses is an extraordinary testament to the indefatigable spirit of its author. In way of response to the problems that were fostered upon her hate would have been the easiest and simplest response. Instead the author took the hard road and through it discovered universal truths about the human condition that remain hidden from lesser mortals. In the end her struggles left her able to offer something better to the world — and that, if nothing else, categorizes a life well lived.'
Meditation Saved My Life is a book that challenges the very basic beliefs about life from on a wide gamut of spiritual, philosophical and holistic perspectives. Its author is a living example of the fact that if you strive long enough and hard enough even the most extraordinary miracles can begin to take place.'
'In many ways the Court card system is an anachronism and very much a vestige of its historical past. It needs rethinking and bringing into a more contemporary framework but until that day Tarot Court Cards for Beginners offers students an opportunity to grasp one the most technically challenging areas of Tarot study. Maybe it's time to put those Court cards back into the deck!'
'As a publication this is a remarkable account but one that has been personalised through the inclusion of the author's own recollection of the events as they unfolded. In a sense it is a story within a story which makes The Resonance Effect read like a car crash between science and metaphysics. In this case the casualty is the established medical profession which now has some serious questions to answer in light of McMakin's work and indepth research. This is an astonishing work, beautifully written and one that I highly recommend to anyone and everyone who is interested in alternative healing methods.'
'In Deeper Awareness Calloway lances what is self-evidently a dark world with his laser insight and boundless light. He is a man with a mission and with feet in two worlds which causes him to highlight the fact that in a world of increasing individuation the role of traditional churches is becoming increasingly exposed for its failings. He understands that it needs to evolve or drown in a morass of its own creation. To what degree this book and his ideas of spiritual transformation are accepted, or not, by its intended audience is going to be a whole other story in of itself but one feels that with his indefatigable sense of spirit Calloway will be a major force of positive change in his spiritual community. His is a story worth following and so I thoroughly and whole-heartedly recommend Deeper Awareness to those who want to join the revolution his has started.'
'As a book it is an utterly riveting read and one which you immediately become immersed in and which ends up leaving a deep impression upon your spiritual philosophy for the implications of the Moons work are extremely profound. Further revelations are yet to come as a result of Moon's continued use of his Ghost Box. When they do I am sure that they will end up being equally remarkable and ground-breaking. Until then this book will continue to amaze and fascinate those who feel that the day has come when we can finally prove the existence of life after death within traditional scientific paradigms.'
'Those who feel that the current mode of New Age Witchcraft is watered down and lacklustre will simply revel in Dulsky's inspiring and colourful expose of a more authentic form of self-empowerment. Woman Most Wild draws upon a tradition that continues to remain defiantly dormant but which, one day, has to rise back to the surface to remind us all of what truly resides beating within the true heart of Witchcraft.'
'In short I feel that no self-respecting Wiccan, Pagan, ecologist, or nature lover would want to find themselves being caught out not owning a copy of this utterly delightful, inspirational and instructional cookbook of ancient lore fused with contemporary Wiccan practice. With The Hearth Witch's Compendium you can almost hear the bees busy buzzing around pollinating the comfrey and see the sage, tyme and basil leaves dried and stored in jars on the scullery shelves. Few images are more central to the heart of what Witchcraft is about and few books have come this close to capturing the essence of what it means to work with what nature provides us with at every imaginable level.'

Compassion, kindness, equanimity, and joy are not only the fruits of the awakened life but also the path to it: attitudes of mind that can be cultivated by anyone willing to set the intention for doing so. Christina Feldman shows how these ennobling qualities—known in Buddhism as the brahma viharas (sublime abodes) or the Four Immeasurables—are far more than simply the “feel-good” states they are sometimes mistaken for. If we pursue them sincerely as spiritual practice, they work together, complementing and enhancing each other, to lead us to the kind of awakening that we are compelled to share with others. Thus through the practice of the brahma viharas we can become participants in the healing and liberation of our world.
